Pierce spent years waiting and looking for this shot after being inspired by the work of another artist. But in the midst of the worst drought on record, photographing rain would have to wait. Patience and creativity eventually led Pierce to finding this shot at sea, as a windy passage to Avalon presented the ideal setting.
