Materials

All artwork is made by hand from scratch by the artist in his Montecito, California studio. All photographic materials are museum quality, tested to be archival upto a minimum of 100 years. The pigments used in this process are not unlike those found in oil or acrylic fine art paint. In this process, they are embedded into the surface of canvas or paper with industrial color fine art photography equipment, affixing the image prior to being varnished. These materials and equipment are the highest quality and most enduring color photographic production materials ever developed, far surpassing the gold standards of the color darkroom days where the artist began printing in color. Photography is as much material science as it is an artform. As much as possible, Will endeavors to remain on the cutting edge of what is available and proven in the high tech realm of color fine art photography.
